The vital role of T&P Cell is to groom & shape the students and make them industry ready so that they can face the future challenges in

 the real world. Every student pursuing a professional career in engineering has an ambition to obtain a challenging job in a company of

 repute (a brand name) and make a successful career. The Department conducts various training sessions for students by eminent

 trainers from the industry and conduct workshops and seminar. The following points enunciate the objectives of T&P Cell: 

o    To assist the development of graduates with balanced set of technical & interpersonal skills and with a positive attitude to life.

o   To act as a nodal agency in the Institution for alliance between the Departments of HETC and the Industries and also industry-academia relationship.

o   To act as a seamless conduit between the Industry and the Institute to enable quality technical manpower supply across industries.

The mission of the Training & Placement Department is to help students clarify their educational and career goals and acquire desired employment.

Department Long Term Goals

o    To develop the Department of placement & training as a single window & nodal point for career counseling and Higher learning in     
     Engineering & Technology.

o   To set up the Training Infrastructure for conducting value added training programs and enhance the employability of students

o   To institute the best practices in conducting and co-coordinating the campus placement process for the industries in the institution.

Department Short Term Goal

o   To acquire the services of competent training agencies to train the students in soft skills and run a successful personality development programme.

About the Department

Training & Placement Department was established as an integral part of the HETC with an active role in career services for its Students. The Department is provided with complete infrastructure and latest equipments for effective functioning of the cell. Training activities are organized throughout the year with an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmers. The cell keeps on inviting various industries and reputed firms for the campus selection programmes throughout the year.

HETC had set up all the state-of-the-art facilities for the conduction of the recruitment process such as seminar hall for company presentations, group discussion rooms and conferencing facilities, interview and Discussion rooms. The independent training & placement block in the first floor of the Administrative block has been built with a view to provide the complete autonomy and convenience for executives to conduct fair and transparent talent search & recruit engineers for various positions in organizations.

The Department of Placement & Training is recognized for its ability to plan and implement value added programs such as the PDP programs, Technology Training Programs and Bridge Courses in the areas of interest and requirements for the industry.

Placement and Training Department is also providing necessary Pre-Placement Training for the pre-final year students in the form of seminars, symposiums and talks by industry stalwarts’ repute. Placement Department also regularly organizes counseling sessions from universities for pursuing higher education in abroad and guidance sessions from trainers for competitive exams like CAT, GMAT, Aptitude etc.
