COLLEGE PROTOCOLS

 • Classes normally will be held from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. on all five days of the week (Tuesday to Saturday).

• Cultural functions, sports, T & P activities will be planned from time to time, separate notice whereof will be issued.

• Students are to be present in the college campus sharp at 9.50 A.M. Classes will start at 10 A.M. students entering late in a particular class will be marked absent.

• Students are required to adhere to the Dress Code.

• Anybody found absent from the college without sufficient reason will be warned through his/her parents. Repeated offender is liable to be dismissed from college.

• A candidate failing to maintain the minimum attendance (75%) in any of the subjects shall not be permitted to appear in semester examination. He/she has to repeat the particular semester.

• In all cases the basis for the calculation of the attendance shall be the period during which college is in session.

• All class tests and surprise tests are compulsory,

• It is to be noted that Identity Card & Library Card are to be kept in safe custody. Loss of these cards must be reported immediately to the nearest Police Station & the Institute Office. Issue of duplicate copy shall be charged
double:
• RAGGING OR AIDING RAGGING IS TOTALLY BANNED and is punishable offence.

In case a student feels that he / she is ragged, he / she or his / her parents / guardians must register a written complain to the Principal, who is the Chairman of the Anti-Ragging Committee.

• 75% class attendance is must. 90% attendance is desirable.

• Entire college campus with all its classrooms, canteen and all­ buildings are to be treated as Anti-Tobacco zone. Both smoking and chewing of tobacco punishable offence. Anti-Tobacco Act - 2005 is strictly followed within the college campus.

• No misbehaviour with any Teacher or Staff Member of the college.

• Unnecessary loitering in the college corridors or in front of classrooms is strictly prohibited.

• Classroom discipline during class hours / recess should be strictly maintained. Use of tiffin, shouting etc. inside the classroom are strictly forbidden.

• Overall discipline framed by the college authority to maintain sanctity of the college must be adhered to.

Dress code is to be strictly adhered to in the college hours.

• Students have an obligation to obey the rules related to academic honesty. Irregularity in class attendance, absence in examinations or non submission of assignments without valid reasons will be regarded as offence.

• Declaration of false identification and defacing of ID Cards will be treated as serious offence and will result in suspension or dismissal from the Institute.

• Practice or provocation of using any sort of illegal and unlawful use of articles / items / substance and indulging in habit of consuming offensive food and drinking items are to be considered exceptionally serious offences. Authority will take punitive action in such case.

• Spitting and chewing of harmful substances of addiction are prohibited in the classroom and college campus.

• Students to help maintaining the safety of college properties.

• Throwing litters in the campus, eating in the classroom, laboratories, workshop and writing on the walls of the classrooms, tutorials, corridor, library, laboratories, workshop, canteen, common room, lavatories are strictly prohibited.

• It is the responsibility of the student who hosts a visitor or guest in the campus, to ensure that such a person knows and adheres to college rules and code of conduct. In instances where guests violate rules or codes, the student host will be held responsible.

• It is the responsibility of the students to cooperate with college officials and faculty members in the performance of their duties. It is obligatory for them to provide proper identification whenever requested to do so by a representative of the college. All students are expected to carry their ID Cards at all times and to produce the identification card when requested.

• It is the obligation of the student(s) to cease and desist from disruptive demonstration. Following types of conduct will be treated as disruptive and unacceptable :

@ Any deliberate damage or demolition of the college property, laboratories, workshops, machines, instruments, computer or any items under the - technological and information resources will badly be marked and to be dealt
accordingly.

@ Anti Ragging Committee - Ragging in any form, i.e. even testing or delivery filthy words to any student any time, within the campus and/or outside the campus is strictly prohibited and a cognizable offence in our college. As per
recent verdict of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, any such act or incident or Ragging will have to be informed to the local Administrative authority immediately by the concerned educational Institution for stern legal step
against the offender. As such all students of RETC are directed to refrain themselves from organizing/involving in Ragging either individually or in a group to a fellow student. We all in RETC are committed to make our college a completely Ragging free institution through regular vigil and alertness of our Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad, constituted and function for the purpose. @ The students are welcome to bring to the notice of the college authority their genuine grievances, difficulties, demands in a disciplined manner.
