From the Principal’s Desk

For carrying forward the flag of growth and prosperity of science and technology, it essentially requires skilled, knowledgeable and focused Engineers and Technologists. On the other hand, such personalities can only be groomed in an educational institution having appropriate standard and facilities. With such a noble vision in heart, the non-profiting Hooghly Engineering and Technology College Society drew its first foot-print in 2002, which subsequently established Hooghly Engineering and Technology College in 2004. The single-minded aim of the founder-members was to create a benchmark institute of international standard and also to make every scholar from this institute a noteworthy participant in the continuous global process called “Human Progress”.
Gathering five years of age and experience and offering two batches of able Technocrats to the country our HETC has already proved its worth in the country’s academic field by imparting knowledge driven technical education of highest quality. With passage of time its success evidence has gone from strength to strength due to its steadily improving students' results in University Semester Examinations and worth mentioning record in students' placements in renowned organizations. The college authority religiously strives to provide all sorts of learning facilities through state-of-the- art infrastructure within the campus. Our laboratories are equipped with the latest and the best machines, instruments and computers with Internet facility of high Bandwidth. Sprawling spaced Library is crowned with plenty of books, journals, LIBSYS automation for Database searching and Wi-Fi connection facility and thereby making a steady stride towards complete e-library system. Our TPO Cell, led by apt professionals, is tireless for grooming the students as industry-ready, especially in respect of soft-skill. The second to none Language Communication Lab in the college speaks for itself regarding such endeavour of the college authority. In addition to running B. Tech Degree courses in Computer, Communication, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical (in the offing) Engineering, the college authority also yearns to excel in the R&D activities of the college and introduce Post-graduate and Management courses in subjects of market demand. Nobody can draw any demarcation for improvement process and hence it is a continuous process in our college.
The overwhelming natural ambience surrounding the college campus reminds the rich heritage of Indian disciples undertaking learning process in the hermitage .Truly, within a complete ragging free campus all the students under the warmth affection and guidance of able, dedicated and qualified Professors, Technicians, Administrative personnel and above all a responsive and proactive management, always get best opportunity to develop themselves with strong ability and character to face any challenge in their future life and career. All in our college nourish within our heart the philosophy of working hard ceaselessly and leaving its fruit in the hand of destiny.
